Dr Lucy Fleming

Dr Lucy Fleming is a graduate of UCC. On finishing internship she proceeded directly to the Cork GP training scheme. On graduation from the ICGP she worked in an Obstetric/Gynaecology hospital in Glasgow to further enhance her training. She joined the practice in 2004. She has additional training in child health, dermatology and women’s health. She has recently completed courses in diabetes and cardiovascular disease in primary care in UCC. Dr Fleming has a keen interest in teaching. She worked for many years as an undergraduate tutor in UCC. She is co-author on the dermatology module of the UCC Masters in Clinical Pharmacy.
Dr Ciara Nolan
MB BCh BAO BMed Sci MICGP DCP DOWH
Dr Ciara Nolan graduated from UCC in 2003. Following her internship, she worked in Emergency Medicine in Brisbane, Australia before returning to Ireland to complete her post graduate GP training. She joined the practice in 2015.
Dr Nolan has completed a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry, a Diploma in Women’s Health and a Certificate in Travel Health. She has completed further education in both diabetes and cardiovascular disease at UCC. She is on the board of directors of the Cork DiGP (Diabetes Interest Group).
She has also worked as a tutor for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students at the School of Medicine in UCC. Dr Nolan is a current member of the panel of examiners for the membership exams of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP) and has a role in both writing and marking examinations. She is an active committee member of the Cork City Faculty of ICGP.
Rachel Kelleher Fonseca
Rachel qualified from UCC in 2011 as a Registered General Nurse. She worked as a staff nurse and then clinical nurse manager in cardiac/intensive care until at the Bon Secours Hospital Cork and completed her postgraduate diploma in ICU at NUI Galway in 2015. Rachel joined Carraig Mervue Family Practice in 2020 where she has trained as a smear taker with Cervical Check and completed an ICGP module on diabetes in UCC.
Sile qualified as a Registered Nurse in London in 1986. After some years working in London, the United States and Dublin, Sile came home to Cork where she worked in the CUH. After a few years working at home with her family, we were delighted to have Sile join the team in 2020.
